Donations and Gift-Aid

You can support Yealmpton Methodist Church by any or all of these ways:

CASH or CHEQUE

We usually collect offerings during the service or you can place your gift in the bowl as you leave. Please make your cheque payable to ‘Yealmpton Methodist Church’.

BANK STANDING ORDER

We encourage you to give regularly by setting up a monthly Standing Order with your bank.  Please ask our Treasurer for the Church’s account details.

CREDIT or DEBIT CARD

In these increasingly cash-free days many people use their Credit or Debit cards for most of their payments. Dona is a Christian company which provides free, secure, card donation facilities to all Methodist churches.  Just click the button below.  Dona fully supports Gift-Aid and accepts all major cards.

Gift-Aid

If you are a taxpayer, we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated to our church.  The proviso is that you must sign a Gift Aid Declaration and confirm that you have paid, or will pay, an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we and all other charities that you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for the tax year in question.  For example, if you donate £100 per month (£1,200 per year) then we can claim an additional £300 from the government.  In this case your annual income tax bill must be at least £300.  If you make donations to other charities under Gift Aid, you must  ensure your tax payment covers those too.  Please ask the Treasurer for a Gift Aid Declaration form.
